Uprooted Equilibrium
A tree torn from the ground after Storm Éowyn, lying beside an empty bench.
Taken in the aftermath of the storm, the photograph sets an uprooted tree against a sculptural bench made for stillness and reflection, now facing an unplanned scene of collapse. It observes rather than dramatises, inviting viewers to consider the fragile line between human design and natural force.
The fallen tree is not merely a symbol of destruction but of renewal and interdependence: a reminder that the boundaries we draw between nature and the city are subject to the same ungovernable forces.
